If you’re wondering why this hdtv is so cheap comparing to the others, Shapr has excluded some features which drop the price but not the quality.

1) No sub-dimming.
Many LED HDTVs support dimming some of the LEDs to be more blacker blacks. In theory, this sounds excellent. However, the problem is that currently the resolution of the LED array is already much lower than of the LCD array which means that the dimming can’t perfectly match the showing image. Thus, you’ll sometimes notice edges glowing. That’s why I’m happier to have HDTV this feature as the lighting is consistent.

2) Not 240hz.
The input of this model is 60hz (at best) which can eventually be extrapolated into 120hz (which this tv does). Moving up to 240hz can make it more likely that the interpolations will guess wrong and offers only few benefits that you can’t even notice.

3) Not very thin.
Some HDTVs are extremely thin. While super-thin tvs may look nice hanging on a wall, it also adds a lot to the price tag because of less space for inputs. This LC46LE700UN has a great form-factor and looks incredible. I doubt you’ll notice how thin your HDTV is after buying it.

On the other hand, Sharp also didn’t skimp on the LED panel, using full-array backlighting. This really gives more consistent brightness comparing to perimeter LEDs.

I stongly recommend you for this tv. The picture quality is excellent. When I visited a retail store to compare it to non-LED tvs, I could see a huge difference. The contrast is terrific with deep blacks and the colour is very vivid. It also works great as a 1920×1080 monitor for my mac mini using a DVI to HDMI adapter.

Finally, if you want to purchase Sharp LC46LE700UN, I suggest you to buy directly from Amazon. (Great price and great service – They never let me down)

Sharp LC46D85U Customer Testimonials

I am using this Sharp Aquos LC46D85U for about five days intensely connected to a SONY PS3 via HDMI and I am completely in love with her! I compare this against Samsung and Sony Bravia for a long time and concluded that this is equal or superior in image quality.

Pro:
- The picture is incredible!
- 1080p + 120 Hz for a great price!
- Many of the inputs (5x + other HDMI (component A / V, S-VHS))
- The remote with some back-lit buttons(channel, volume, menu, input select, etc.) and control devices of other brands (very common these days).
- Some observations of others have complained about the speakers are rather snobbish when it comes to watching movies, and as for the Bose up LOUD, but I saw X-Men III, LOTR RoTK and cars with no additional speakers connected and I never felt like I was losing. It has no significantly low bass. The voices and music are very  crisp and clear, and the “surround” works well enough to expand the sound field and fill a small room. It is high enough that my daughter has asked me to turn down, but it was not break-up or cracked at all.

Cons:
- It seems to have sometime to change channels. This may be the nature of these TVs,.
- No Picture-In-Picture on this model. I like the time in a game without losing sight of a show at the corner of my screen, so I knew when I came back to watch.

All-in-all, this is more considered as a “set of values” (by industry standards).

What a great series! Sharp has done it again. This is the second Sharp Aquos something new and completely satisfied with the second option.

PROS: The Sharp Aquos LC46D65U was easily installed. The manual is comprehensive, but has a quick reference sections, reducing the time, the setting, etc. Set-up in the menus are easy to navigate. I personally found excellent factory default and left in place until today. Many more are available in ultra-fine adjustments by most of the menu to satisfy even the most critical viewer think.

The LC46D65U is physically beautiful with its piano black indicates the screen, the black upright piano, and a small speaker under the light gray panel funcionamientopantalla. The number of corners are very square, but hardly a distraction, like other reviewers have mentioned.

The picture quality is exceptional. My satellite feed entered (not even HD package) and DVD. The LC46D65U done with all input sources radiant color, crisp detail blacks blacks, excellent contrast. Connession entry are numerous and cover the area of external links. I do not want to be using a PC with the LC46D65U, but the connection is for those who can.

CONS: The remote is functional, but it is very small and the buttons still lit even if difficult to see. I am familiar with the button on my other AQUOS presentation has a very similar distance, but for those who buy their first Sharp AQUOS and must use the remote distmente for first time. It takes practice!

The only other area for LC46D65U is lack of audio. It’s sufficient, but not as complete as I dream. My 32 AQUOS is better and sounds great for years. A surround sound system would be the answer for those looking for the soundtrack of a film.

All-in-all, the Sharp Aquos LC46D65U HDTV is an exception with great price, without taxes, is certainly can not go wrong. Honestly, I believe without a doubt that this is one of the best deal for those who want a 46 Inch LCD HDTV
