What do I need to hook up my HDTV plasma tv?

I have a Samsung hdtv plasma tv flat screen and want to connect my computer monitor so I can watch shows that I missed on TV from my computer. The computer I have is old, but it is fairly current version of Windows on it and play video from the internet quite well. This is a Dell Dimension 2350. What cables work best with my TV and what they are called. I am electronically challenged and put in simple termsci. Thanks for all the information you can give me:)!

I do not know if I have a video card or not. I have this computer from my father and law, so I do not have the manual of your computer. How do I know if you have a video card? It plays videos online so that does not mean that a video card? I’m sorry I can not be a slow computer and electronic equipment!

Above all what I want to do is watch TV and some movies that are on the internet with my schErmo TV. I would not actually be using the computer screen itself. There are some TV series chemo husband and I want to watch, but not necessarily want to watch on a small computer screen. Our TV is actually a 58 in widescreen plasma, and it will be easier for us to watch. The video card and how the things that still need to be a factor or you can simply connect a VGA cable for the computer and TV with an audio cable to watch these spettacoli? Thanks for the advice!

We also have a DVR on our television if that helps. Thank you!

Your Dell Dimension 2350 has a 15-pin VGA port for connection to monitor. You need to know if there is a 15-pin VGA port on your HDTV set. Otherwise, all you need is a VGA monitor cable.

Whats the use of plasma HDTV set as a monitor, however, why not plasma-like pictures if you leave a still image on the screen for a lassor time, the image will be burned in the plasma.
