Like many, I have studied for months HDTV. I knew more or less that I wanted an LCD screen, so that really does not look to the plasma. Basically fell rapidly Sony vs. Samsung. I have a Sony PS3 and love, so Sony has probably had a slight advantage in my eyes. I watched television in a number of electronics stores, and in fact there are many images out there. I decided that I wanted, basically, a Sony (see further comments on the technical problems questioniSamsungs con the confidence provided by Sony) and about a mesen?sima I had my eye on the 46xbr6. Then it was slightly torn between the 46xbr6 and the 40xbr7, which could have arrived at the same price. However, I am concerned about the fact that 40 is too small (and now I bought the 46 incher, I’m glad I did). I was close to pulling the trigger on the 46xbr6, when I was walking through the Sony store and speak with a representative. He said he thought that the 46z4100 was probably the best buy, and has all the features of high-end xbr6, less built-in sub woofer (I know there are other small differences). The Z series was also very thin and elegant, very rare combination. I checked the picture is super clear, and I knew almost nobody, but a professional note any difference between this.
Let me tell you, I am very pleased with this HDTV, so I was glad it went to research and the model I did. The picture quality is terrific! I’m using the settings for this TV which is Tweak TV and seems very well-calibrated (adjusted basis of very good, if you do not have the calibration software). The colors are great, blacks are deep, the people are facing a clear and real. The PS3, with games and movies, is the perfect image! Therefore, Fun to play games and watch Blu-ray PS3 in this configuration. I have Comcast HD on cable and the picture is impressive on it.
Some have complained about the speakers, but I find it very appropriate and quite sufficient for the average person (including me). You must go to the sound options and turn around.
Sony HDTV KDL-46Z4100 is great, and for this price I just could not be happier.
